Located just off the Pacific Ocean in San Francisco's District 1, the Outer Richmond neighborhood is a naturally flat (and predominantly foggy) area that once consisted of little more than wind-swept sand dunes. In the early 1900s the Outer Richmond neighborhood experienced significant development and growth with numerous single-family row houses built during this period.
